Tile saws are easy to use, safe and convenient for your home use.

Safety Precautions

Before plugging in the saw, you must ensure that you put hearing protection headset on your ear, eye protective glasses on the eyes and put your gloves in the hand.

Tile Saw sounds harsh when the blade and the tile connect each other. So, hearing protection is a must here.

If you use a wet tile saw, it will not exhaust much dust but you should not take any chance. It is better to prevent than cure.

Steps To Follow to Use The Tile Saw

The first thing you should see whether all the necessary equipment is ready. We have embedded a video for visual understanding of the process, you can see this also.

Step 1 

Measure the tile you are about to cut with the saw. Use a whiteboard marker to mark the line so that you can easily remove the mark after you are done with the cut. Put a cross mark (x) on the side you are not going to use.

Step 2 

Adjust the tile aligning with the guarding fence. Doing this will make your cut straight and hassle-free.

Step 3 

Put the safety arm on the blade and start the saw.

Step 4 

Slide the sliding tray to the saw holding both tile and tray. Make sure to hold it in a safe distance from the cutting blade. You don't need to put pressure on it, the saw will do its work. You just need to guide the tile towards the saw.

Step 5

When you are finished cutting the tile, make sure you unplug the saw from the electricity.

Can Tile Saw Cut Wood?

Yes, and No.

Yes for the slim wood and no for the thick wood. As you know that the common tiles are very thin and tile saws are made specifically for cutting those thin tiles without breaking them.

Trying to cut thick wood can damage your favorite tile saw. So, it is wise to cut the wood with a hand saw or a circular saw.

If it is the tree that you want to cut down, then use a felling axe for cutting down trees.

Can Tile Saw Cut Glass?

No! If you try to cut the glass with a tile saw, it will break apart. Apart from damaging the glass itself, it bears a huge risk of injuring yourself.

Can Tile Saw Cut Granite?

Tile saws can cut granite as long as they come in a tile format. Other than that you shouldn't expect to cut a whole bunch of granite with a tile saw.

Can Tile Saw Cut Pavers?

The pavers are like tiles but they are generally thick than the usual tiles. So, keeping the cutting depth capacity of your tile saw in your mind, you can cut pavers.

Can Tile Saw Cut Metal?

To cut metal, you will need a diamond blade instead of a normal blade. Trying to cut metal with the tile saw can damage the saw blade as well as the saw itself.
